20th GECF Executive Board Meeting

The Secretary General of the GECF, HE S.M. Hossein Adeli hosted the 20th Meeting of the Executive Board in the Headquarters of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Qatar on 13-15 October, 2014.

This 20th Meeting was conducted by the Chairman of the Executive Board. HE Gabbidon Meheux, Member from Nigeria. The Meeting was attended by Algeria, Bolivia, Equatorial Guinea, Iran, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago, United Arab Emirates and Venezuela, as well as Observer Members Iraq and Netherlands.

The Executive Board discussed a number of important issues including proposals on the new organisation structure for the GECF, the GECF Long Term Strategy, program of work and budget for the year 2015 and preparations for the 16th Ministerial Meeting in Doha, Qatar. Also discussed were reports on the key developments of the gas market as well as other equally important financial and administrative issues relevant to the development of the Forum.
