HE Eng. Mohamed Hamel, the Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), led a team from the GECF Secretariat during a meeting with Mr Dmitry Soloviev, Director of the Representative Office of PJSC Gazprom in Qatar, recently.
The virtual meeting marked the first interaction of the GECF official with one of the world’s biggest energy companies since assuming the position on 1 January 2022.
During the conversation, the parties reviewed the more-than-a-decade-long association between themselves and paved the way for future cooperation.
The PJSC Gazprom embodies the energy ambition of one of the GECF Founding Member Countries – the Russian Federation, holds one of the largest proven natural gas reserves and the largest gas transmission system in the world. The company has maintained a representative office in Qatar since 2011.
