On the sidelines of the 27th Ministerial Meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), H.E. Eng. Mohamed Hamel, Secretary General of the GECF, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mohamed Ould Khaled, Minister of Energy and Petroleum of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. H.E. Eng. Hamel congratulated Mauritania on its remarkable progress and growing expertise in the energy sector, particularly in the development of its natural gas resources. He reaffirmed the Forum’s readiness to extend technical assistance and facilitate capacity-building initiatives through programmes offered to GECF Member Countries. H.E. Minister Khaled expressed appreciation for the GECF’s continued engagement and constructive cooperation with Mauritania, while underscoring his commitment to further strengthening collaboration with the Forum.
