H.E. Eng. Mohamed Hamel, Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), received H.E. Gonzalo Voto Bernales Gatica, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to the State of Qatar, at the GECF Headquarters in Doha.
During the meeting, H.E. the Ambassador expressed Peru’s interest in expanding its natural gas infrastructure and developing its petrochemical sector, highlighting the country’s commitment to enhancing energy security and industrial growth. The Secretary General commended Peru for its active engagement as an Observer Member of the GECF and reaffirmed the Forum’s commitment to strengthening dialogue and cooperation, while expressing the GECF’s readiness to share expertise and best practices in support of Peru’s energy ambitions.
