HE Eng. Mohamed Hamel, Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), participated in the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony of HE Nicolás Maduro Moros, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, held today in Caracas.

The ceremony took place at the Asamblea Nacional and was attended by official delegations from 125 countries, Heads of International Organizations, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Caracas, and members of the Venezuelan cabinet.

HE Hamel extended warm congratulations to HE President Maduro on behalf of the GECF, marking the commencement of his Presidential Tenure for the period 2025–2031. During an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he emphasized the pivotal role of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the GECF, underscoring its historical role as a Founding Member and its enduring commitment to the progress and objectives of the Forum, and further expressed sincere gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by President Maduro and the people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, praising their dedication to fostering stability, peace, and progress.
