H.E. Secretary General of the GECF Bilateral Meetings on Day 2 of the 9th OPEC International Seminar

On the second day of the 9th International OPEC Seminar, H.E. Eng. Mohamed Hamel, Secretary General of the GECF, continued his bilateral engagements with energy leaders from GECF Member Countries and Partners.

Fruitful discussions were held with: 

H.E. Dr. Khalifa Rajab Abdulsadek, Minister of Oil and Gas, President of the GECF Ministerial Meeting for the year 2025, State of Libya 

H.E. Hayan Abdul-Ghani Abdul-Zahra Al-Swad, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil, Republic of Iraq 

H.E. Birame Soulèye Diop, Minister of Energy, Petroleum and Mines, Republic of Senegal 

H.E. Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Energy, Brunei Darussalam 

The Secretary General highlighted the progress of key GECF initiatives and exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in the natural gas sector, energy security, and the energy transitions. These meetings reaffirmed the shared commitment to advancing dialogue and collaboration towards a sustainable energy future.
