Doha, 16 April 2025 — GECF Headquarters, His Excellency Eng. Mohamed Hamel, Secretary General of the GECF, held a meeting with Mr Graham Henley, CEO of the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP).
The Secretary General provided a brief overview of the GECF and its current activities. He also commended the IOGP team for the valuable update on energy, climate and ESG policies in the EU, as well as their impact for non-European based energy companies.
During the discussion the participants addressed various recent developments of the global tariff and regulatory framework and explored avenues for promoting technological cooperation and exchange of experience in the natural gas sector.
In light of the growing demand for natural gas as a clean, reliable and versatile energy source playing a pivotal role in reaching sustainable development and energy transitions goals the GECF and IOGP will explore opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.
