The Objectives of GECF at COP30

Set in the heart of the Amazon region, COP30 will focus heavily on nature-based solutions, biodiversity, and sustainable development. The GECF intends to:

  • Emphasize the role of natural gas in complementing renewables.

  • Present findings from its Global Gas Outlook and Sustainability Framework.

  • Showcase Member Countries’ initiatives on methane reduction, CCS, and efficient energy use.

GECF’s engagement at COP30 will continue to reflect its mission to balance climate ambition with energy equity and economic growth.
