On the sidelines of African Energy Week (AEW) 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa, H.E. Dr Philip Mshelbila, Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), held a bilateral meeting with Mr NJ Ayuk, Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber (AEC).
Both sides made use of this opportunity to strengthen the successful cooperation between the GECF and the AEC, particularly in promoting greater recognition of Africa’s natural gas potential and fostering dialogue and partnerships to support the development of the continent’s energy resources.
The engagement underscored the shared interest of the parties in advancing Africa’s natural gas agenda and unlocking its potential as a catalyst for long-term economic prosperity.
