HE Yury Sentyurin, GECF Secretary General had a meeting with HE Jeff Radebe, Minister of Energy of the Republic of South Africa on the sidelines of the Africa Oil & Power Conference 2018.
During the meeting HE Dr Sentyurin presented the recent developments of the Forum, and an update on the activities and current programmes of the organization. HE Jeff Radebe informed the GECF on the status of gas and energy developments in South Africa and in the sub-Saharan region. Both executives exchanged views on the current situation and expectations of the world gas market, the growing role of natural gas in the energy mix, and the possibility of closer links between South Africa and the GECF.
