Doha, Qatar | 9-10 September 2026 - The Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) convened its 54th Executive Board Meeting on 9-10 September 2026, in a hybrid format at the GECF Headquarters in Doha, State of Qatar, bringing together Executive Board Members, Observers’ representatives and senior officials of the GECF.
Over the course of the two-day meeting, the Executive Board addressed key administrative matters pertaining to 2026 and considered the proposed Programme of Work for 2027. The Secretariat also presented reports on gas market developments and analytical outputs, including an updated Special Report on the Impact of Middle East Tensions, covering the short-, medium- and long-term implications. The Board reviewed further progress on the 11th edition of the GECF Global Gas Outlook 2055 (GGO) and the preparation of the 9th edition of the Annual Statistical Bulletin 2026 (ASB).
In addition, the Executive Board considered preparations for key upcoming GECF events, notably the 8th GECF Summit and the 28th GECF Ministerial Meeting, scheduled to take place in Moscow, Russian Federation, in October 2026.
The meeting concluded by reaffirming the Executive Board’s continued commitment to advancing the objectives of the GECF and further strengthening cooperation, coordination and solidarity among its Member Countries.
