By early 2026, the sector reached a major milestone, with the global FSRU fleet expanding to a record 50 operational units. Accounting for 20% of global regasification capacity, FSRUs have evolved from a niche and specialized segment into a central pillar of the global energy landscape, emerging as a key solution for linking new LNG supply with rapidly evolving demand centers.
