HE Mohammed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry of the State of Qatar, held a high-level reception in honour of HE Yury Sentyurin, the new GECF Secretary-General on January 18th at Sheraton Hotel, Doha, Qatar.
Top industry leaders in the energy sector attended the reception including HE Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Qatar Petroleum President and CEO, HE Abdulla Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, HE Essa bin Hilal Al-Kuwari , Kharamaa President, HE Khalid Bin Khalifa Bin Jassim Al-Thani, and Mr Nasser Jaidah, CEO of Qatar Petroleum International. Also in attendance were HE Mr. Nour Mohamed Kholov, Ambassador of Russia to the State of Qatar, Mr Issa Ghanim Mr.Fahad Hamad Al-Mohannadi , General Manager, Qatar Electricity Water Company, Director of Strategic Planning and Policy, Qatar Petroleum, and Taieb Belmahdi, Senior Advisor Gas, Office of the Minister of Energy and Industry.
During the reception, their Excellencies congratulated HE Yury Sentyurin on his appointment as GECF Secretary-General and reiterated continued support to the GECF and the Secretary-General during his tenure.
On his part, the Secretary-General, thanked their Excellencies for their hospitality and informed them of his commitment to the mission and objectives of the Forum and plans to work closely with top energy leaders in Qatar to further strengthen the position of GECF as a global gas leader in the energy sector.
All parties committed to working closely to support the GECF and realise the objectives of the Forum.
