Russia possesses the world's largest natural gas reserves, the eighth largest oil reserves and the second largest coal reserves. It is one of the world's leading natural gas producers and exporters, while also being the second largest oil producer and exporter.
The country's industry includes a wide range of sectors, such as mining and processing of mineral resources, metallurgy, the fuel and energy complex, and various types of machine building. Russian industry produces a diverse range of products, ranging from rolling mills, construction and agricultural machinery to high-performance aircrafts and space vehicles, as well as road and rail transportation equipment, electric power generation and transmitting equipment, medical and scientific instruments and other modern equipment. Russia has well-developed agricultural and industrial sectors, and is among the leading wheat exporters in the world.
