The 2024 GECF Awards: Call for Nominations
We are delighted to announce that the nomination period is now open for the second edition of the GECF Awards. This prestigious event, held every two years, is a hallmark occasion where we honor the exceptional individuals and esteemed institutions that have demonstrated an outstanding record of accomplishment in the gas sector during their career span or made a clear, significant and sustained positive impact on the gas sector, in particular through advocacy, policy formulation/implementation, international partnership, research, education, or media.
Categories of GECF Awards
There are three categories of awards of distinction up for nomination:
1. The GECF Foundation and Advancement Award is an elite recognition bestowed upon individuals who have been instrumental in establishing the Forum and/or achieving its strategic goals. This illustrious award is limited to nominees from the GECF countries at the level of Ministers and above. Nominations for this award are not open to the public.
2. The Friend of GECF Award commends individuals and institutions that have registered an outstanding record in cooperation with the Forum towards the advancement of the GECF objectives or the natural gas industry in general. This award is limited to nominees only from non-GECF countries.
3. The GECF Award for Long-Term Commitment to Natural Gas celebrates those individuals and institutions that have demonstrated an outstanding record of accomplishment in the natural gas sector during a career span. This accolade is open to nominees both from GECF and non-GECF countries.
