Secretary General attends “The 7th Asian Ministerial Energy Roundtable (AMER7)”
His Excellency, Dr. Seyed Mohammad Hossein Adeli, GECF Secretary General participated in the 7th Asian Ministerial Energy Roundtable (AMER7) in Bangkok.
The event was organized by the Kingdom of Thailand and co-hosted by the United Arab Emirates, under the aegis of the International Energy Forum (IEF), gathers Energy Ministers and Heads of International Organizations.
AMER7 was entitled “Global energy markets in transition: from vision to action” and was focused on the current state and prospects of Asia’s oil and gas markets in the context of security challenges, new investment opportunities and emerging breakthrough energy technologies that are all being generated in a world in transition.
Secretary General, Seyed Mohammad Hossein Adeli spoke on “Natural Gas: Overcoming Market and Policy Hurdles to the Golden Age of Gas” and presented on global and Southeast Asia region energy and gas demand, along with Energy Ministers from India, Qatar, Brunei Darussalam, Senior Representatives from Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan, and Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA).
Energy Ministers from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Thailand, Kuwait, Bangladesh, and Malaysia are also participated in the event.
India will host the next IEF Ministerial Meeting in New Delhi on April 10-12, 2018.
The Secretary General was accompanied by Mr. Hussein Moghaddam, Energy Econometrician of Energy Economics and Forecasting Department (EEFD).
