HE S.M. Hossein Adeli assumes office as Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum effective January 1, 2014, in accordance with the procedure established in the GECF Statute and Resolution of the 15th Ministerial Meeting (Tehran, Iran, November 3, 2013), for the period of 2014-2016.
Dr. S.M. Hossein Adeli is an economist and a diplomat with vast international experience. He is the second Secretary General of the GECF since its establishment as a formal international governmental organization in 2008.
