HE Secretary General Meets with Dignitaries on the Sidelines of APPO CAPE VII
Malabo, Equatorial Guinea
In parallel with the African Petroleum Producers (APPO) CAPE VII Congress and Exhibition, which opened in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea yesterday, HE Dr. Sentyurin met with a number of ministers and other officials.
After his arrival to Malabo, HE Secretary General met with HE Gabriel M. Obiang Lima, Minister of Mines, Industry and Energy, Equatorial Guinea before attending the official opening of the 36th Ordinary Session of the APPO Council of Ministers, at which HE Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, Prime Minister of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, gave the opening address. He later joined HE Obiang Lima for a welcome reception to celebrate the formal opening of the APPO CAPE VII meeting of ministers, which was also attended by HE Ezekiel lul Gatkuoth, Minister of Petroleum and Mining of South Sudan, with whom Dr Sentyurin later had a working meeting to explore the potential for cooperation.
Other notable encounters included discussions with HE Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources of Nigeria, during which they delved deeper into ongoing talks about enhanced collaborations and meetings with HE Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo, OPEC Secretary General and HE Dr. Sun Xiansheng, IEF Secretary General.
