GECF Secretariat Holds a Working Meeting with Bloomberg on Analytics and Data Transfer

 Doha, Qatar

GECF Secretariat leadership held a working meeting with Bloomberg and Bloomberg NEF representatives to examine and pave the ways for collaboration between the Forum and a leading provider of primary research on clean energy, advanced transport, digital industry, innovative materials, and commodities.

Due to active and much-increasing research and analytical work in the Secretariat, a rich suite of analytical tools and forecasting models, powered by Bloomberg's data capabilities represents meaningful potential for incremental enhancement of the GECF's short and long-term forecasts granularity.

As an entity authorised by the Member Countries to provide insights into gas markets and a trustworthy platform for promotion of dialogue on gas industry key aspects, the Forum is developing a variety of scientifically based deliverables, utilising the most advanced forecasting tool - Global Gas Model with elements of artificial intelligence and disruptive technologies.

In the century of data transparency, predominant digitalisation, global focus on generating ideas and delivering insights, cross-cutting coverage of industrial and regional topics lays solid ground for the GECF to commit broader mapping of the uncertainties shaping the development of gas and energy markets.
