GECF Member Countries issue stamp and postcard to celebrate The Gas Exporting Countries Forum’s 10th Anniversary
Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago
To commemorate its 2008 inauguration, GECF member countries have engaged themselves to create a postal item in celebration of this event. The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago was the first country to unveil the result and used the platform of the Gas Symposium - jointly organized by the GECF and the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries of Trinidad and Tobago on November 13th in Port of Spain – to formally present their stamps to the public. The result was a series of stamps, each portraying a different aspect of the local gas industry.
The Russian Federation was next in line and opted to develop not only a post card depicting an overview of the exploitation process, but also issued a commemorative seal to honor 10 years of successful collaboration between GECF member countries. The unveiling took place during the GECF’s 20th Ministerial Meeting on November 14th in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
