GECF invited to debate on gas market issues with the world’s leaders in Gastech
On the invitation of one of GASTECH (17-20 September 2018; Barcelona, Spain), the world’s leading Exhibition and Conference for gas, LNG and energy industries, GECF will be participating in the debate with the world’s gas and energy industry leaders.
Gastech is one of the most important events for the gas and LNG industry, as well as energy conferences. It gathers the gas and LNG community, allowing people to meet and share ideas.
With more than 45 years, the Gastech exhibition and conference has been at the forefront of the international gas, LNG and energy market. This world renowned event is regarded as the most significant meeting place for upstream, midstream and downstream gas and LNG professionals, where they convene to do business. Gastech has fast become a next generation energy event, hosting major NOCs, IOCs, integrated energy companies, global utilities, EPC contractors, shipbuilders, pipeline companies, manufacturers, technology providers and service companies all of whom play an active role in the global energy value chain.
The GECF will mandate a delegation to be headed by Ms. Mahdjouba Belaifa, Head of Gas Market Analysis Department, to deliver the GECF views and insights on the basis of the extensive research work, analyses and outlooks done in the GECF Secretariat.
The delegate will also highlight the great achievements of the Forum with regards to cooperation in diverse areas, such as the decision to establish a GECF Gas Research Institute in Algeria.
Particularly, during the delegate intervention in the panel on “The Role of NOCs & IOCs - Delivering Global Energy Security”, the GECF will share some insights on the development of energy markets, as well as the issue of energy security in the frame of sustainable development. The challenges to security of gas supply and demand will be expressed, notably the unilateral economic sanctions that are incompatible with reaching the goal of sustainable supply of natural gas to the world.
