HE Eng. Mohamed Hamel, on Monday, received HE Joseph McMonigle, Secretary General of the Riyadh-based International Energy Forum (IEF), at the GECF Secretariat in Doha to discuss enhancing the full range of their cooperation.

The meeting reviewed the existing cooperation between the two intergovernmental organisations and steps to deepen this relationship with joint events and enhanced cross-participation, including IEF’s Joint Organisations Data Initiative (JODI) for gas. 

The two sides also discussed the global energy landscape and medium- to long-term energy prospects.
