1st High-Level Ad Hoc Working Group Meeting for 5th GECF Summit
A high-level Ad Hoc Working Group (HLAHWG) meeting took place in Doha last week in preparation of the 5th GECF Summit and related events in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea from 26-29 November 2019.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Augustin Mba Okomo from Equatorial Guinea and attended by the Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), HE Dr. Yury Sentyurin as well as distinguished representatives from GECF member countries Algeria, Bolivia, Equatorial Guinea, Iran, Nigeria, Qatar, Russia, Trinidad & Tobago, and Venezuela. The working group gathered to discuss the organizational and administrative details of the Summit and related events such as the GECF’s 2nd International Seminar.
The Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Summit is the Forum’s flagship event on the level of Heads of State and Government, and takes place every 2 years. Previous Summits have taken place in Doha, Qatar in 2011; Moscow, The Russian Federation in 2013; Tehran, The Islamic Republic of Iran in 2015; and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, in 2017.
