Gas Market Analysis Department

Mission: The principal mission of the Department of Gas Market Analysis consists of monitoring, studying and analyzing the gas market developments in the short term, including but not limited to: factors of short term nature that impact natural gas market fundamentals, development of competing fuels, energy policies impacting natural gas supply and demand, gas prices and pricing, transportation and storage. The Department is also responsible for the scenario building for the outlook of GECF. In addition, the Department is responsible for keeping informed Member Countries on the latest developments on the gas market through regular reports and studies.

Role: The department Head is responsible for leading and supervising the team to monitor and analyze the gas market, to develop periodical reports and specific studies and to define the appropriate sources of information relevant to the research work of the Department. The Department of Gas Market Analysis is currently headed by Dr. Aydar Shakirov.
